Billings police say that Craig Benedict, 34, is in custody at the Yellowstone County Detention Facility facing a felony charge of distribution of dangerous drugs after allegedly putting meth into coffee at a Billings business.

The website for the business, Laser 1040 Tax Service, lists Benedict as an employee.

Police believe that as many as 25 people may have been affected by the incident.

Police were alerted by the business of the incident. One of the employees apparently received a text message saying to not drink the coffee.

Police say they are working with RiverStone Health and urge anyone who may be affected to call police at 657-8460 or go to the hospital.

Police plan on testing the blood of people affected by the incident and sending the samples to the Montana State Crime Lab in Missoula.

We will update you as we learn more.
